No Time by Jonathan Feist
“No Time” was originally conceived a few years ago, when my first son Merlin was born, and I left it unfinished for a long time, unable to bear thinking about it. He arrived early, and was incarcerated in a Massachusetts General Hospital incubator for a couple of weeks, waiting to get big enough to come home. The first night I returned to my house to sleep, by myself, was the loneliest I have ever been.
